The best ideas come from the people who live here. That’s why Pride in Place puts local voices at the heart of every project.
Our board brings together local residents, community organisations, businesses and public sector partners, all working towards the same goal: creating a neighbourhood where people feel proud to live and where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Over the coming years, Pride in Place will support a wide range of projects, from improving public spaces and community facilities to supporting local organisations, activities and opportunities for residents of all ages.
Every project is guided by local priorities and shaped by the people who know Layton & Grange Park best.
Pride in Place is about turning local ideas into lasting improvements.
From enhancing parks and public spaces to supporting community organisations, activities and neighbourhood initiatives, every project is designed to make a positive difference for the people of Layton & Grange Park.
We’re just getting started, and we’ll continue to share new projects as they develop.
Sarah Lindsay is Chair of the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board for Layton & Grange Park, helping to lead a £20 million investment programme that will support the community over the next ten years.
Born and raised on Grange Park, where her family still lives, Sarah has spent more than a decade working with local young people and families. Through her role at The Boathouse Youth, she has helped develop community projects, build partnerships and create opportunities that make a real difference.
As Chair, Sarah is committed to making sure local people remain at the heart of every decision, ensuring Pride in Place reflects the priorities, ideas and ambitions of the communities it serves.
Grange Park isn't just where I work – it's where I grew up and where my family still lives. I want local people to shape this investment so together we can build on the strengths of our community and create lasting opportunities for future generations.
