The Layton Love Where You Live Free Family Activity Day returns to Kingscote Park on Saturday 29 August 2026, bringing together residents, community organisations, volunteers and local partners for a day of free activities, entertainment and community spirit.
Supported by Pride in Place funding, this year’s event will celebrate everything that makes Layton a great place to live while creating opportunities for local people to connect, have fun and help shape the future of their neighbourhood.

A Celebration of Community
The Layton Love Where You Live Family Activity Day has become a popular annual event, bringing local people together to celebrate their community in a welcoming and family-friendly environment.
Now in its fifth year under the Layton Together partnership, the event continues to grow thanks to the dedication of local organisations, volunteers and community groups working together to create something special for residents.
This year, funding from Pride in Place will help create a more locally focused community event, with an emphasis on celebrating Layton, strengthening community connections and encouraging residents to share their ideas for the future of the area.
Throughout the day, families will be able to enjoy a variety of free activities while meeting local organisations and discovering the support, services and opportunities available within their community.
Importantly, the event will also provide opportunities for children, young people and families to share what matters most to them. Their ideas and feedback will help inform future Pride in Place projects and ensure local investment reflects the priorities of the community.
